Maria Shriver Dating

Just in case you don't know Maria Shriver, Shriver is an American journalist and author of six best-selling books. She has received a Peabody Award and was co-anchor for NBC's Emmy-winning coverage of the 1988 Summer Olympics. As executive producer of "The Alzheimer's Project", Shriver earned two Emmy Awards and an Academy of Television Arts & Sciences award for developing a "television show with a conscience". She was formerly First Lady of California as the wife of actor and then-California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.  She is a member of the Kennedy family (her mother, Eunice Kennedy Shriver was a sister of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Edward Kennedy).  Let's take a look at Maria Shriver's dating history...

Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver met at the Robert F. Kennedy Tennis Tournament in August 1977 when they were introduced by Tom Brokaw. They went on to marry in 1986.

Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver got married on April 26, 1986 in Hyannis, Massachusetts, at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church after dating for almost nine years. They have four children together: Katherine, Christina, Patrick and Christopher.

On May 9, 2011, Schwarzenegger and Shriver announced their separation after 25 years of marriage, with Shriver moving out of the pair's Brentwood mansion. In a message for her Twitter followers posted on May 13, 2011, Shriver was quoted as saying: "Thank you all for the kindness, support and compassion. I am humbled by the love. Thank you."
