Patti LaBelle Quotes

1. All I can tell you really is if you get to the point where someone is telling you that you are not great or not good enough, just follow your heart and don't let anybody crush your dream.

51. My ideal celebration would be sitting in the middle of the floor with a T-shirt on and a bushel of Baltimore crabs, extra jumbo male, gettin' my crab on.





52. You know, some people are so pitiful and they can't sing at all, so the producer has to take it one word at a time or one line at a time.

53. Living with a disease means you have to think about health choices every day, like it or not.


54. You know I'm a clothes girl, so I thought it made sense to have a Patti LaBelle Collection.


55. I always have to go that extra mile, and I do it and I don't mind doing it, but it isn't fair.



56. We as a people can't give enough to people living with AIDS.

57. The choir director told me that I had to go up front because I was not supposed to be singing the chorus because I am special.


58. So when I don't record a song that I should have, I put it in my show.

59. My motivation is I have the chance to show a few young girls and young men how easy or hard it can be.

60. There have been so many men in my life that I have fed and at the time I was married, and if I wasn't married, I know they would have tried to kiss me.

61. That's not easy because out of 40 songs, you gotta pick 12 or 13.

62. I did a song with Carlos Santana, but of course he didn't sing - but I did sing with one of his band members, named Andy Vargas.
