Jay Leno Retirement

One of the stories trending on the Web today is the possibility of a Jay Leno retirement.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC is preparing to announce that Leno will retire from the "Tonight Show".

It is well known that ABC's Jimmy Kimmel is attracting younger viewers and actually Kimmel's show debut beat Leno in the ratings.

Needless to say that Kimmel called Leno "a sellout". To be more exact, in a raucous interview with Rolling Stone magazine Kimmel was quoted as saying: "As a comedian, you can't have disdain for what he's done. He totally sold out. He was a master chef who opened a Burger King."

NBC told the Hollywood Reporter that there is no move to urge Leno to retire. On the other hand,  the reporter doesn' seem to be convinced by NBC's statement, revealing that an announcement may be made in May that the 2013-14 TV season will be Leno's last.

A Leno spokesman revealed to the Reporter:"We do not speculate on rumor."

The question is: "If Jay Leno does retire, who will replace him?"
