Amanda Bynes Dog Soaked In Gasoline, Burned After Driveway Fire

Amanda Bynes' tiny dog may have been injured in the driveway fire incident that lead to her 5150 psychiatric hold on Monday, July 22.
Celebrity website TMZ obtained new video footage of Bynes, 27, rushing into a liquor store after allegedly starting a fire with a canister of gasoline outside an elderly woman's home in Thousand Oaks, California.

In the surveillance video, Bynes carried her little Pomeranian into an employees only area. The store owner, who followed her into the back room, revealed to TMZ he smelled gasoline and allegedly watched Bynes rinsing off her dog in a sink.

An eyewitness at the scene of the driveway fire also explained to TMZ that Bynes had burned her dog. "I saw this girl laying down right here with her left pant leg on fire. I quickly pulled over and there was this gas can right here and it's trailing fire," he was quoted as saying, adding: "Pull over, went to go help her and the flames, by then, extinguished out. She went over there to get her dog - she had a small like Chihuahua...She was really frantic like she wanted to get out of there. She was like: "My dog has been burnt.""

Captain Don Aguilar of Ventura County Sheriff's Office revealed to Us Weekly that Bynes has been hospitalized on a 5150 hold after being involved in a "disturbance in a residential neighborhood."

"She was detained and taken for a mental health evaluation," Aguilar noted, explaining: "Ventura County Fire Dept. also responded to this incident in reference to a report of a gas can on fire in a driveway."

Bonnie Braaten, the homeowner of the house in question revealed to Us: "I have no idea what she was doing. I don't even think she has an idea what she was doing."

"The sheriff told me that Amanda was incapable of giving good answers," she continued, adding: "I never saw her. She was already in custody or wherever she was taken."
