Jason Statham Vs James Franco In "Homefront" Trailer

Jason Statham has appeared in the first trailer for "Homefront".

James Franco, 35, and Kate Bosworth, 30, also star in the upcoming action thriller from director Gary Fleder (Runaway Jury, Don't Say a Word).

Statham, 46, portrays a former Drug Enforcement Administration agent Phil Broker, who finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

As a widowed former DEA agent just trying to enjoy retired life with his 10-year-old daughter, Statham finds himself confronting a crime ring led by Franco when their kids get into a schoolyard confrontation.

When Franco (who plays a meth kingpin) aims to get some dirt on the new small town resident, he learns he's an undercover cop and supposes he is there to arrest him. The trailer seems generic and reveals too much, but this battle between Franco and Statham looks interesting.

Sylvester Stallone wrote the screenplay for the film, adapted from the original novel by Chuck Logan.

Winona Ryder, Vincent D'Onofrio, Mischa Barton, Frank Grillo and Clancy Brown join the cast.

The movie will be released in the US on November 27. A UK date has not been confirmed yet.
