Cee Lo Green Avoids Jail Time For Drugging Date

Cee Lo Green has escaped jail time by pleading not guilty to the felony charge of "furnishing Ecstasy to a woman" while dining at a Los Angeles restaurant in July, 2012 before returning to the woman's hotel.

Instead, Green, 39, accepted the lesser charge of sharing Ecstasy with her.

Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, had been accused of giving ecstasy to a 33-year-old woman without her knowledge (he slipped "Molly" into the woman's drink) at the Wokcano restaurant.

Green, famous for his stint as a judge on NBC's "The Voice", had pleaded not guilty to the charges on the same day his hearing was supposed to start.

That hearing would also have played a major role whether the rapper used the drug for sex.

The 33-year-old female, who hasn't been named, revealed to police officers the first thing she remembered after dinner was waking up naked in bed with Green.

Prosecutors did not charge Green with rape of an intoxicated person, citing insufficient evidence.

Instead of prison time, Green has been sentenced to three years' formal probation, 360 hours of community service and 52 Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous meetings.

Green's lawyer Blair Berk stated the relations between his client and the woman were "consensual."
