Police Rush To Stephen Collins' Home After False Suicide Report

Stephen Collins was supposed to have killed himself late on Tuesday afternoon.

Cops rushed to the house the "7th Heaven" star rents in Tarzana, California after reportedly people stated to have heard a loud shot.

Donna D'Errico, who starred on the television series "Baywatch" and lives nearby, even tweeted: "That guy from 7th Heaven lives right around the corner from me & just shot himself a few minutes ago…"

Along with a picture of several police squad cars, D'Errico, 46, also wrote: "That's all I know. The police have the street cordoned off and aren't even letting residents in."

It is, however, 100% false.

In fact, Collins - who was taped revealing to molesting numerous young girls over the years, was not at home - and did not attempt to suicide.

D'Errico has since removed her "shot himself" tweet.

The "Baywatch" star later wrote: "I just tweeted out what I was being told by my neighbor who were on scene. I apologize for tweeting what I'd heard before confirming it."

In a divorce filing obtained by celebrity website TMZ, Collins' estranged wife Faye Grant described the actor as a pedophile with a "long term pattern of sexually molesting children."

Grant claimed in her court documents that she frequently advised Collins "to seek treatment for pedophilia," but he "refused to seek proper help or hospitalization for (his) predilection toward children."
