Katherine Heigl On Rumors She's Rude: "I've Made Mistakes"

Katherine Heigl is well aware she doesn't have the greatest reputation in the industry, but she can't figure out why.

In a facebook Q&A in support of her new drama "State of Affairs" on Saturday, a fan asked Heigl, 35, about "rumors" that she's "very rude," and she gave a surprising reply.

"Yeah I've heard those too…honestly I don't think I am…nothing makes me more uncomfortable than confrontation or hurting someones feelings and I would never, ever actively do so on purpose," Heigl wrote in her response, noting: "Of course just like any human being I've made mistakes and unwittingly or carelessly spoken or acted but I always try to make any wrong right."

The former "Grey's Anatomy" star pointed out: "That doesn't mean I won't stand up for myself by drawing boundaries and asking to be treated kindly and respectfully but I don't do that with any rude or unkind intentions just with the same strength and honesty I think every one of us is entitled to."

Heighl's response satisfied the facebook fan, who claimed her reply was "nicely put," and thanked her "for explaining yourself."

Last month, however, Heigl's former "Grey's Anatomy" creator Shonda Rhimes slammed the actress when she described her "no a-holes" policy" in a cover story for The Hollywood Reporter. "There are no Heigls in this situation…I don't put up with bulls-t or nasty people. I don't have time for it."
