Woody Allen To Develop His First Ever Television Series For Amazon

Amazon has just made an announcement that Woody Allen will be creating his first ever television show for the streaming service.

According to THR, "The Untitled Woody Allen Project" will be a half hour television series and has been ordered for a full season so far. It's the first TV series from the iconic director.

"Woody Allen is a visionary creator who has made some of the greatest films of all time, and it's an honor to be working with him on his first television series," Amazon Studios vice president Roy Price said in a statement, noting: "From Annie Hall to Blue Jasmine, Woody has been at the creative forefront of American cinema, and we couldn't be more excited to premiere his first TV series exclusively on Prime Instant Video next year."

"I don't know how I got into this. I have no ideas and I'm not sure where to begin. My guess is that Roy Price will regret this," Allen, 79, jokingly stated.
