Selena Quintanilla's Family Talks About Jennifer Lopez's Tribute At the Billboard Latin Music Awards (VIDEO)

Jennifer Lopez recently performed at the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards, paying a tribute to Selena Quintanilla.

Lopez, 45, sang a medley of the late singer's big hits such as "Como la Flor", "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom", "No Me Queda Mas" and "I Could Fall in Love".

JLo joined forces with the original Los Dinos band - Selena's brother A.B. Quintanilla, sister Suzette Quintanilla-Arriaga and widower Chris Perez.

Just in case you don't know, on March 31, 1995 Selena Quintanilla was shot dead by Yolanda Saldívar, her friend and former employee of her Selena Etc. boutiques. Lopez played Selena Quintanilla in the movie "Selena", a film about her life and career. The movie was released by Warner Bros. back in 1997.

After the performance, the Quintanilla family talked to Billboard about how it felt to be a part of such a special moment, where the idea for the tribute came from and how they are keeping Selena's legacy alive.

"I loved that she incorporated three of Selena's main looks - the bustier, the high-waisted pant, and the ruffles," Suzette aid.

A.B. commented on just how great Lopez sounded. "When she held that last note on "No Me Queda Mas" it was amazing," he claimed, noting: "The electricity was there and even though she was singing Selena's songs, she made them her own tonight. She did a beautiful job."

"From her heart - this is something that she really wanted to do," A.B added.
