Joni Mitchell Can't Talk After Suffering Aneurysm (David Crosby Interview)

Joni Mitchell's longtime friend and ex-boyfriend David Crosby gave an update about the singer-songwriter during an interview with HuffPost Live on Friday, June 26.

Just in case you have missed it, Mitchell, 71, was rushed to the hospital in late March after being found unresponsive in her home.

"I have not spoken with her. To my knowledge she is not speaking yet. She is home, she is in care, she is recovering. She took a terrible hit," Crosby, 73, said, noting: "She had an aneurysm, and nobody found her for a while. And she's going to have to struggle back from it the way you struggle back from a traumatic brain injury."

Mitchell's camp, however, said in April that Joni was still alert in the hospital and she is set to make a full recovery. Her official website also dismissed rumors that she is in a coma.

"She's a tough girl, and very smart. So, how much she's going to come back and when, I don't know and I'm not going to guess," Crosby revealed on Friday, adding: "I love her. She's probably the greatest living singer-songwriter."

It has to be mentioned that Mitchell and Crosby dated in the mid-'60s.
