U2 Receives Standing Ovation For Original Song "Ordinary Love" At 2014 Oscars (VIDEO)

U2 gave a touching performance during the 2014 Oscars where they performed Oscar-nominated original track "Ordinary Love," from the Weinstein Co. biopic "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom".

Presented by Brad Pitt, 50, Bono and his bandmates performed the song live for the first time.

During the performance, a slideshow of snapshots of the late Nelson Mandela appeared in the background paying tribute to the group's personal friend.

"Ordinary Love" was released on November 21, less than a week before Mandela passed away. Harvey Weinstein personally asked U2 to write the original score for the movie.
